Video Journalist (Youth & Gaming Culture)

With our established media expertise, we're committed to telling the most compelling stories for stakeholders in gaming, esports, and pop culture industries.</p><p><br></p><p>Outlook India is seeking a Video Journalist specializing in gaming and other pop culture to create compelling short-form vertical content for Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and social media platforms. You'll be the face of our content, covering the latest trends and news that matter to young audiences across the gaming, esports, anime, music, and youth culture sectors.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong></p><ul><li>Create and publish 2-3 high-quality short videos daily for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms</li><li>Write scripts and present on-camera content about gaming news, anime releases, music trends, and youth culture moments</li><li>Stay on top of social media trends and gaming communities to spot viral content opportunities</li><li>Cover gaming events, product launches, anime drops, music releases, and cultural phenomena as they happen</li><li>Engage with viewers through comments, live streams, and interactive content to build our community</li><li>Collaborate with the editorial team to meet Outlook India's editorial standards.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Basic Qualifications: </strong></p><ul><li>Strong on-camera presence with excellent speaking skills in English and Hindi</li><li>Deep knowledge of gaming, esports, anime, music, and youth culture trends</li><li>Deep understanding of Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other short-form video formats</li><li>Ability to work fast and meet daily content deadlines</li><li>Great storytelling skills that can make complex topics simple and engaging</li><li>Previous experience creating popular social media content or building online followings</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><span class="ql-cursor"></span>Preferred Qualifications: </strong></p><ul><li>Proficiency in mobile video editing apps (Cap Cut, In Shot, etc.) and basic video production techniques Background in journalism, content creation, or digital media </li><li>Active in gaming or anime communities with understanding of what audiences want</li><li>Experience with live streaming platforms (Twitch, YouTube Live, Instagram Live)</li><li>Background covering business aspects of the gaming and entertainment industries</li></ul>
